On a system that cannot be accessed, e.g., due to a defect, Steinberg Licensing-based licenses cannot be deactivated as usual via the Steinberg Activation Manager. In these cases, deactivation is still possible via a special function in your MySteinberg account.
Important: If you still have access to the system containing one or more activated licenses, please use the Steinberg Activation Manager to deactivate each license individually.
In case the system is still accessible, please log in to your MySteinberg account, go to “Licensed Devices”, and click on the “Deactivate” button next to the device you want to deactivate.
