To start using DMX in VST Live, open the "Tracks" page.
Click on the "+" sign and select "Create DMX Track..." from the list to add a DMX track to the project.
In our example, we named the track "DMX Data"
Open the Track INSPector
Select as input "DMX Mixer In".
As output, select "DMX Visualizer Out".
Now open the "Audience" page. If this is not visible as a tab, activate this tab via the "Views" option.
The first thing you will see is a gray field.
Now open the "DMX" page.
You will see the DMX Mixer.
The first three channels determine the color that is sent to the Visualizer.
For a better overview, we recommend opening the Audience and DMX Window as separate windows.
To open the windows separately, use this button
If the DMX input button (lit orange) and the Record button (lit red) are pressed, you can observe the change of the colors by changing the first three faders in real time.
Of course, you can also record the dynamic color change and play them back in sync with your project.
