UR-C: USB Mode cannot be switched

Problem

While a certain type of application is running, the 'USB Mode' in the Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver Control Panel is grayed-out and cannot be switched.

Background

Switching the 'USB Mode' while a certain type of application is running would interrupt the normal operation of the application. Therefore, we made it unable to switch the 'USB Mode' while one of these applications is running. 

Windows:

  • ASIO applications
  • dspMixFx UR-C (on Windows only)
  • dspMixFx Remote Bridge (on Windows only) 

Mac:

  • Audio applications which are using the audio interface

Workaround

Close the corresponding application first, and then switch the USB Mode.
