About Video Decoder für Avid DNxHD®

Video Decoder for Avid DNxHD® is required for import and playback of Avid DNxHD® encoded videos in Cubase, Nuendo and Dorico.

It is available as an extension in the Steinberg Online Shop. The Video Decoder for Avid DNxHD® needs to be installed and updated separately.

Given you own a valid license, you will find the installer under "My products". 

Free update to Video Decoder for Avid DNxHD® 3.0

Registered users of Video Decoder for Avid DNxHD® can find a free update to version 3.0 in their MySteinberg account under "Vouchers". 

Video Decoder for Avid DNxHD® 3.0 brings support for Apple silicon and Steinberg Licensing, which means it does not require a USB-eLicenser anymore.  

However, Video Decoder for Avid DNxHD® 3.0 can still be used with program versions whose license is still stored on a USB-eLicenser., for example Cubase 11 and Nuendo 11.
