Problem

After closing a project, Cubase/Nuendo freezes when opening or creating a project and must be forced to quit. Afterwards, Cubase/Nuendo is loading and creating projects normally.

Background

One possible reason is the use of iZotope's RX 8 audio restoration plug-in. Due to a malfunction, the plug-in might generate a flood of MixConsole History events, causing Cubase/Nuendo to overload and freeze.

Solution

iZotope has fixed the problem in RX 9.

Unfortunately, we do not know of any workaround for RX 8 so far.
