Problem

As soon as the PC awakes from sleep mode, it can happen that the UR22mkII doesn't communicate with the application anymore.

This only happens under these conditions:

• The UR22mkII is used as MIDI interface in the application (e.g. Cubase)
• The USB port stops providing power in sleep mode.
• Windows based systems (Mac provides power via USB even in sleep mode)

Cause

While the PC verifies and lists connected USB devices during the recovery from sleep mode, the UR22mkII is not ready and cannot be recognized.

A few seconds later, the status of the UR22mkII changes. Only then it is being recognized by the PC. In this moment a new MIDI device is being set up.

However, the application continues to utilize the original MIDI device (from before the sleep mode) so that MIDI data communication is no longer possible.

Solution

After restarting the application, the UR22mkII is available as MIDI interface again.

To fix this issue permanently, please install the latest UR22mkII software.
