Problem

The Windows version of Nuendo 8.2 or later crashes while loading a project.

Background

It might be possible that the Nuendo RMU Connector for Dolby Atmos component installed by an older Nuendo version is causing a conflict that causes Nuendo to crash.  

Solution

The version conflict can be solved by removing this file: 

C:/Programme/Common Files/Steinberg/Shared Components/3dconnectorski.dll

The file is not needed by Nuendo 8.2 or later.
