Does the HALion Sonic 3 license include previous HALion Sonic versions?
No, the HALion Sonic 3 license only covers HALion Sonic 3. Previously, HALion Sonic 2 also covered HALion Sonic 1. Unfortunately this is not possible with HALion Sonic 3 due to the switch from USB-eLicenser (dongle) to Soft-eLicenser (license container on hard disk).
If you need a separate HALion Sonic 2 license to use HALion Sonic 2 on a separate system, please get in touch with the support via MySteinberg. They will provide you with a dedicated HALion Sonic 2 add-on license that can be used in parallel to HALion Sonic 3. It won’t be possible on the same system though, since HALion Sonic 3 replaces the previous HALion Sonic installation. The HALion Sonic 2 add-on license is a USB-eLicenser license and will also cover HALion Sonic 1.
