Problem
Under certain circumstances the UR Extension may not function properly even if proper driver for the UR model is selected in the VST Audio System. This will cause the symptoms like below:
Direct monitoring through built-in DSP is always on regardless of the setting of Direct Monitoring on Cubase. If the Monitor is turned on for an audio track, input signal will be duplicated on the monitor.
Input Settings Window (HARDWARE rack in the Channel Racks) won’t be shown in the MixConsole.
There is Audio Hardware Setup in Studio menu, but nothing shows up by clicking on it.
Background
A driver update changed some processes which can lead to the UR Extension not working correctly after starting up Cubase/Nuendo for the first time.
Workaround
Select the proper driver in the VST Audio System anew.
- Select “No Driver” in the VST Audio System.
- Then select the proper driver for the UR again in the VST Audio System.
Solution
We plan to address this issue with a new TOOLS release in the future.

Problem
There are cases that the UR Extension doesn’t function properly even if proper driver for the UR model is selected in the VST Audio System. This will cause the symptoms like below:

Background
A driver update changed some processes which can lead to the UR Extension not working correctly. Cubase/Nuendo cannot obtain necessary information from the Extension when starting up for the first time after starting up Windows. (It seems that starting up Cubase/Nuendo for the first time after starting Windows takes longer than in other cases.)
Solution
Please update to the latest available TOOLS release for the affected interfaces.
