When trying to launch an eLicenser-protected software such as Cubase 5 or when trying to launch the Syncrosoft License Control Center/eLicenser Control Center the following error message appears (Windows systems only):
"DCOM connection to program 'Synsopos.exe' failed."
One possible fix is to check if the corresponding service of Windows is still running. To do so go to the Control Panel of Windows, then search for "Administrative Tools", and in there double-click on "Services".
Look for "DCOM Server Process Launcher" and make sure that its launch is set to "Automatic", then start the service.
If this does not fix the problem install the latest version of the eLicenser Control Center. You can also try a clean installation of the eLicenser Control Center by first uninstalling it following the instructions in this article. Further information on eLicenser troubleshooting can be found here.
