In some cases, nothing is displayed in one or more MixConsole windows of Cubase 13.
This happens due to an incompatibility between the MixConsoles of Cubase 12 and 13. We are working on a permanent fix in the next maintenance update. For now, the issue can be rectified with the following workarounds.
Scenario 1
When a new project is created and the MixConsole (main or 2,3,4) is opened, it does not show any faders.
Workaround
- Create a new empty project in Cubase 12 or earlier.
- Open all MixConsole windows.
- For each MixConsole window:
- Go to the toolbar and open "Setup Window Layout".
- Make sure the "Channel Racks" option is checked.
- Leave the window open.
- Save the project, e.g. as "Cubase 12 MixConsole Repair.cpr".
- Load the project in Cubase 13 (the MixConsole will still show no faders)
- Close and reopen the MixConsoles.
Result: Faders are visible again, and this information is stored in the preferences.
Scenario 2
When loading a project from Cubase 12 or lower, the MixConsole window (main or 2, 3, 4) is visible, but does not show any faders.
Workaround
- Go back to Cubase 12 or earlier and open the project
- For each open MixConsole window:
- Go to the toolbar and open "Setup Window Layout"
- Make sure the "Channel Racks" option is checked
- Leave the window open
- Save the project
- Load the project in Cubase 13 (the MixConsole will still show no faders)
- Close and reopen the MixConsole
Result: Faders are visible again, and this information is stored in the preferences.
